Initial Intake Acupuncture Visit – $140
This visit will take 2 hours. We will discuss your full medical health history as well as your goals to health and wellness. I need your full clinical picture to assess your health and provide appropriate treatment.
Even if your condition has a clear etiology, i.e. a broken leg, it is important that I have a good understanding of how you are doing over all. I will ask you many questions that may seem unrelated, especially if you are new to Chinese medicine. Rest assured everything matters to provide the support to your body, mind and spirit in order to reach your goals of health and wellness.
This visit may include a short acupuncture treatment. What is most important during this visit is establishing a clear understanding of your goals to health and wellness through our connection.

Follow-up Acupuncture Visits – $100
Once I have a clear picture of your goals to health and wellness after our initial intake visit, we will begin acupuncture treatments. These visits will take 60 minutes and will be designed to support your goals to your health which are authentic to each person. We will co-create these plans together and will include any of the modalities I offer that are indicated for your goals to health and wellness.
Sliding Scale Option- $80 – $100
My sliding scale option means Patients pay what they can afford so everyone can access the services they need. The scale is adjustable to your finances at the time. Everyone, no matter what they pay, receives the same amount of care and attention. There are never any questions asked about what you choose to pay on the sliding scale. And if and when you are available to pay the full rates then feel free to pay the full amount.
Insurance
Few health insurance companies in North Carolina currently cover acupuncture and herbal therapies. However, some companies offer varying levels of coverage. Medicaid and Medicare do not provide coverage. As more and more insurance companies begin to understand the therapeutic benefit & long term cost savings of acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine, insurance coverage will be expanded. It is always best to check with your health insurance company first in order to determine whether or not you have eligibility and coverage for our services.
If your insurance company will reimburse you for part or all of your treatment, Authenticity Acupuncture will provide the necessary legal documentation in order for you to obtain reimbursement from your health insurance company. I will always do my best to help you with this process. Please ask your insurance company what is necessary for you to receive reimbursement.
